What your membership supports:
Park Interpreter
FOSF has funded a full-time park interpreter since 2015. This position has contributed greatly to fulfilling our mission of preservation through education. Kim Maley, FOSF Park Interpreter, supports park staff by leading field trips, hosting discovery tables, writing educational articles, planning events, and coordinating volunteers.
North Falls Viewpoint
Visitors can expect an entirely new way to experience one of our beloved waterfalls, North Falls. This view will rival South Falls and park staff hopes it will alleviate the high visitation seen every year in the South Falls Historic District. Funds Raised: $37,625.
Botanical Drawings
In 2015, FOSF commissioned local artist, Aislinn Adams, to illustrate 30 commonly found native plants of Silver Falls. These plant ID sheets are on display at the South Falls Lodge.
Annual Festivals
Interpretive events are co-sponsored by FOSF throughout the year, including the Wildflower and Birding Festival, Star Party, and the Christmas Festival.
Park Projects
FOSF contributes to an assortment of projects for the park including: infrastructure repair, maps & signage, water fountains, and more!
