Legacy Giving

Legacy gifts are a great way to preserve Silver Falls State Park for future generations. Friends of Silver Falls State Park work directly with Oregon State Parks to fund park projects and deepen visitors’ appreciation and knowledge of this incredible space.

Cash, securities, and real property are the most common assets used to fund a bequest or charitable trust gift.

Bequest: A charitable bequest is a provision in your will or living trust that would enable you to name the Friends of Silver Falls State Park as a beneficiary of your estate. The following is an example of language that can be used in a will or trust:

“I give _____________ to Friends of Silver Falls State Park, an Oregon nonprofit corporation, located at 20024 Silver Falls HWY SE, Sublimity, OR 97385, to be used to support the general charitable activities of the organization.”  EIN: 93-0921093.

If you are interested in making a gift for a specific purpose, please contact us so we can ensure your intention can be fulfilled by Friends of Silver Falls State Park.  We recommend that you consult your estate planning attorney for purposes of drafting your will and for advice on the type of bequest that best fits your financial and tax situation.
