Hike on Silver Falls’ newest trail - Roemer’s Meadow Trail
Roemer’s Meadow Trail is named for a Pacific Northwest native grass that is found growing in the park near the new trail.
Hike along portions of the Perimeter Trail and Rackett Ridge to finish the loop back to the trailhead.
Pets are also allowed on these trails

Configuration: loop
Difficulty: moderately strenuous
Elevation gain: 650 ft
Trailhead: Howard Creek Day Use (chemical toilet, no fee machine at trailhead - use Registration Booth fee machine)
highlights:
Multi-use trail for hikers, horses, and mountain bikes. Remember the trail courtesy rules!
Older sections of the rainforest with giant western hemlock and impressive Douglas-fir.

A great section of the park to see Devil’s Club (Oplopanax horridus); one of the most interesting and formidable looking plants at Silver Falls
The Perimeter Trail roughly runs along the eastern border of the park and winds through some older stands of Western Hemlock and Douglas-fir
The Perimeter Trail connects with several other trails. (Roemer’s Meadow, Rackett Ridge, Buck Mountain, Catamount)
